Verify a Credential

Is this credential genuine? Find out in seconds.

Every SIAReady credential can be checked by anyone — an employer, the SIA, or the police — with no account. Scan the QR code on the credential, or enter its verification code below.

Most people arrive here by scanning the QR code on a credential — it carries the code for you.

How verification works

The credential is the key. The record is the truth.

01

Scan or enter the code

The verification code is a secret token held only by whoever holds the credential — it can't be guessed or enumerated.

02

We check the live record

The request is rate-limited and audit-logged, then matched against the live credential record — the source of truth for authenticity.

03

You see the verdict

Genuine and active, expired, or revoked — with the qualification, reference, and integrity hash. Only the holder's initials, never their full identity.

Three possible answers
Verified
Genuine and active.
Expired
Was valid; needs renewal.
Revoked / not found
Not a valid credential.
Verification never exposes personal data — only the holder's initials, the qualification, and the credential's integrity hash. Every check is rate-limited and written to the audit trail. Even after a holder exercises their right to erasure, the credential stays verifiable — the check shows anonymised initials, never contact details.
